Paros - WonderWay Travel

Greece has more than 200 inhabited islands, and many of the loveliest are calm, welcoming and easy to reach. These are ideal for travellers who want beautiful scenery at a relaxed pace.

Islands to consider

Naxos, the largest of the Cyclades, combines golden beaches, mountain villages and the marble Portara gate. Paros pairs the whitewashed harbour of Naoussa with cosy Lefkes. Milos is known for Sarakiniko’s white lunar rocks, and Folegandros has a dramatic clifftop capital. Sifnos is a food-lover’s favourite.

Ferries made simple

High-speed and conventional ferries link Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio with the Cyclades. Book tickets early in summer, and remember that the strong meltemi winds in July and August can affect schedules.

Best months

May, June, September and early October offer warm sea, quieter beaches and more choice of rooms.

Tip

Limit yourself to two or three islands in a week so you can enjoy each one properly.

We can craft a two- or three-island route with ferries, hotels and airport transfers.
