Day 1

Arrival in Cusco

Fly from Baku and arrive in Cusco, at 3,400 metres. Take it easy, sip coca tea and stroll the Plaza de Armas to acclimatise. Overnight: Cusco.

Day 2

Cusco & Inca Fortress of Sacsayhuamán

Visit the Inca Sun Temple of Qorikancha and the fortress of Sacsayhuamán with its giant stones, then Qenqo and Tambomachay above the city. Overnight: Cusco.

Day 3

Sacred Valley – Pisac, Moray & Maras

Drive into the Sacred Valley to the Pisac market and ruins, the circular Inca terraces of Moray and the salt pans of Maras. Overnight: Urubamba.

Day 4

Short Inca Trail to Wiñay Wayna

Start the classic short trek from Km 104, following an original Inca path through cloud forest to the ruins of Wiñay Wayna, where you camp. Overnight: Trekking camp.

Machu Picchu at Sunrise
